Global Privacy Rights Summary

1. Overview

OMVA is based in New Zealand and available worldwide. Privacy rights vary depending on where you live and which laws apply.

2. New Zealand

If New Zealand law applies, you may request access to and correction of your personal information under the Privacy Act 2020. You may complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

3. Australia

If Australian privacy law applies, you may have rights under the Australian Privacy Principles, including access, correction, and rights relating to direct marketing and overseas disclosures.

4. EU/UK

If EU/UK GDPR applies, you may have rights to:

  • access your data
  • correct your data
  • delete your data
  • restrict processing
  • object to processing
  • data portability
  • withdraw consent
  • complain to a supervisory authority

5. California / United States

If California privacy law applies, you may have rights to:

  • know what personal information is collected and how it is used/shared
  • access personal information
  • delete personal information, subject to exceptions
  • correct inaccurate information
  • opt out of certain sale/sharing uses
  • limit certain sensitive personal information uses
  • not be discriminated against for exercising rights

7. Limits

Some requests may be refused or limited where permitted by law, including where information must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud, security, dispute, insurance/referral, payout, or compliance reasons.
