End-Customer Privacy Notice

1. Who this notice is for

This notice is for people who use an OMVA-powered insurance referral/comparison site, submit a quote/request form, view insurance options, use a customer portal, or otherwise interact with an insurance-related customer flow powered by OMVA.

2. Who controls your information

OMVA LIMITED operates the OMVA platform. The branded site you use may be operated by an OMVA site owner/referral partner, but site owners do not receive raw customer personal information by default. OMVA may share your information with insurers, providers, partners, or service providers where needed for quotes, referrals, contact, fulfilment, support, or compliance.

3. What information we collect

Depending on the product and form, we may collect:

• name, email, phone number
• city/location
• insurance type and cover needs
• desired start date
• current insurer or premium if you provide it
• vehicle, property, travel, pet, life, health, income, or business details
• date of birth, gender, smoker status, occupation, income, or other product-specific details where needed
• quote choices, selected options, referral events, and policy-related records
• device, browser, IP, referrer, UTM/campaign, and traffic source data
• support, claim, complaint, or contact messages

4. Why we collect it

We use this information to:

• process your quote/request
• show or request available insurance options
• connect you with relevant insurers/providers/partners
• contact you about your request
• manage referral and commission attribution
• provide customer support
• improve OMVA-powered sites
• create aggregated/non-PII performance and market reports
• detect fraud, spam, abuse, or security issues
• comply with legal obligations

5. Final insurance decisions are made by insurers/providers

Any quote, price, cover, policy wording, exclusions, eligibility, acceptance, renewal, cancellation, claim, or payment decision is determined by the relevant insurer/provider.

OMVA and OMVA site owners do not guarantee that you will be accepted for cover, receive a particular price, save money, qualify for a policy, or receive a payout on a claim.

6. Site owner visibility

The OMVA site owner may see aggregated or non-PII reporting such as number of visits, referral counts, conversion rates, commission amounts, product categories, and performance numbers.

The site owner should not receive your raw personal information such as your name, email, phone number, address, individual quote record, or policy record through OMVA unless OMVA introduces a specific lawful feature and informs you.

7. Sharing with insurers/providers/partners

We may share relevant information with insurers, brokers, providers, or partners where needed to provide quotes, process referrals, contact you, fulfil your request, administer policies, manage claims, or comply with law.

8. Marketing contact

We may contact you about your request or related services. Marketing messages will include opt-out options where required.

9. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights where applicable. Contact support@omva.co.nz.

10. Children and age

Insurance product eligibility depends on insurer/provider rules and applicable law. Some products may require you to be 18 or older, may require parent/guardian involvement, or may not be available to minors.
