Careers Privacy Notice

1. Who this applies to

This notice applies when you apply for a role, submit a CV/resume, contact OMVA about careers, or participate in recruitment.

2. Information we collect

We may collect:

  • name, email, phone, city/country, street address
  • current role/company
  • work rights
  • start availability
  • salary expectation
  • years of experience
  • LinkedIn, portfolio, GitHub, Instagram, TikTok, or other links you provide
  • CV/resume and cover letter
  • screening answers
  • referral source
  • application messages
  • interview notes and recruitment decisions

3. How we use it

We use applicant information to:

  • assess applications
  • communicate with applicants
  • manage recruitment
  • verify experience or work rights where appropriate
  • improve hiring processes
  • comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing

Applicant data may be shared with OMVA staff, recruiters, interviewers, service providers, storage providers, and professional advisers where needed.

5. Retention

Careers data is generally retained for up to 12 months after the relevant recruitment process ends, unless a longer period is needed for legal, dispute, or recordkeeping reasons. If you want your application data removed, contact support@omva.co.nz.

6. Upload security

OMVA should apply appropriate file size, file type, access control, and malware-scanning safeguards for CV/resume uploads before launch.
